I We are a non-aligned youth led movement which focuses on promoting liberal political values to enhance political literacy and inclusive politics in Sri Lanka
A free, happy, prosperous and peaceful country where the values of individual liberty, individual civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights, limited government, free market, free choices, rule of law and peace are secured by the collective effort of informed citizens.
Enhance human flourishing and prosperity by strengthening a network lead by youth to promote liberal values and increase political literacy through both bottom to top and top to bottom level approach.
Our Objectives
- Empower youth to be the leaders of the nation in transforming Sri Lanka to a better version.
- To promote liberal political values in Sri Lanka
- To enhance political literacy in Sri Lanka
- To enhance inclusive politics in Sri Lanka.
- To establish an academic think tank consisting of pool of experts and specialists to provide research and development to formulate policy reforms for a new Sri Lanka by addressing corrupt and outdated legal regulations and social practices that violate the liberal values of individual liberty, individual rights, free market, free choices, the rule of law and democratic institutions.
- In order to make these policy reform proposals a reality on the ground, Liberal Youth Movement aims to groom to a strong pressure group that can influence the legislature and the executive to implement these proposals as laws of the country.
- Operate as the bridge to connect youth from all regions of the country and to provide them with support for development of communication, leadership, social and technical skills and facilitate linkage for greater access to opportunities.
- To collaborate, affiliate and cooperate with other similar organizations (local and foreign), institutes (local and foreign), universities (local and foreign), private and cooperate sector to achieve the primary objectives of the movement.
